Open for Business

Today marks the first day of my thirties, and the day that Events by Madeleine is officially open for business!

A little bit about me…

I’m a planner through and through. When I was in high school, I was always the “mom” of the group. I had “just in case” items in my purse or my car, always had an extra pen or two, and made my own planners. (Yes, I designed and printed my own planners in high school.) When I started college, I thought that I wanted to be a nurse. As most college kids do, I changed my major… with some influence from mom and my friends eventually graduating with a degree in hospitality from the University of Arkansas. Throughout college, I worked full-time in the events industry in various capacities - from food & beverage, to venue management, to eventually transitioning to a job in corporate events that brought me back to St. Louis as a home-base. With this company, I began traveling the world planning and operating corporate events and incentive travel.

Throughout my corporate career and professional growth, I’ve consistently done day-of coordination on the side for friends and family, or through word of mouth. While I didn’t have a professional brand or website, I’ve been supporting couples for years and I’ve always had a part of me in the wedding industry. As I mentioned earlier, today is my 30th birthday. During the last couple years of my twenties, I met the love of my life and we got engaged! As I started planning my own wedding (which I did in more or less 2 weeks), I realized how much I sincerely loved the wedding planning and decided to take the leap into really launching Events by Madeleine.

EVENTS BY MADELEINE IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS…

This is a really exciting moment for me! Events by Madeleine is officially open for business. I kept my name as a part of this brand, because I want couples to know who they’re hiring. I’m looking forward to steady growth, as I will still be managing my full-time job in the corporate events industry, and making couples’ wedding day dreams come true. I promise to always be kind and advocate for couples, while still maintaining respect for fellow vendors in the industry.

XO - Madeleine
